1. Candidates wishing to apply for admission to the Violin & Piano Masterclasses should apply as a violin & piano duo. Single candidatures will not be considered.
2. Candidates should complete and send the admission form by e-mail to the Académie de Musique de Lausanne (using the send button) or by fax: + 41 21 329 02 85. The Académie de Musique de Lausanne will treat their request and answer them ASAP. All applications must be received no later than 15 June 2012.
3. The following documents are requested and should be sent by postal mail to the Académie de Musique de Lausanne, case postale 5026, CH-1002 Lausanne, and received no later than 15 June 2012:
- One recent photograph (passport format) of each candidate
- Curriculum vitae with full details of studies and related musical activities of each candidate
- Letter of recommendation from one or more of your professors, for each candidate.
4. Ten duos will be selected by Pierre Amoyal & Bruno Canino. All applicants will be informed of their status by 25 June 2012.
5. Tuition fees and lodging at the Lausanne GuestHouse and Backpacker are offered by the Académie de Musique de Lausanne.
6. Students must assume their own travel, meals and private expenses.
7. Furnished studios will be available for use by each duo at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU).
8. The Violin & Piano Masterclasses will take place beginning on Friday 20 July through Saturday 28 July 2012 inclusive.
9. Pierre Amoyal, Bruno Canino and the Camerata de Lausanne will perform the "Concert Exceptionnel" on Sunday 22 July 2012 at 19h.00. The students are kindly to attend this concert at the Beau-Rivage Palace - Salle Sandoz - Lausanne.
10. Classes will be given jointly by Pierre Amoyal & Bruno Canino.
11. Classes will be held on a daily basis, beginning on Friday 20 July through Friday 27 July 2012 inclusive (except Sunday 22 July). They will be open to the public.
12. Seven duos will perform at the "Concert de l'Académie" to be given on Saturday 28 July 2012. (The participation of the duos in this concert rests subject to the consent of the professors)
13. Three duos will be selected for the "Concert des Lauréats" to be given on Saturday 28 July 2012. This concert will be recorded by Radio Télévision Suisse-Espace 2. (The participation of the duos in this concert rests subject to the consent of the professors)
14. The Prix du Meilleur Duo offert par la Ville de Lausanne in value of CHF 5'000.-- may be awarded to an outstanding duo (the distribution of this price is subject to the decision of the professors).
15. A concert at the Menuhin Festival Gstaad in the cycle "Matinées des Jeunes Etoiles" may be awarded to an outstanding duo.
